Stephen Hall – 2NSB 99.3 FM:
This is blues to get you jumping, jiving and yelling for more. The Bellhops have a big band sound, with a wide range of influences and styles. Swing, driving jive, 12 bar blues, zydeco, jump and boogie. There is good rhythm guitar underlying some screaming lead guitar; with a big sax sound and it comes through loud and clear, without dominating the album. The Bellhops original material stands up well and they are a bunch of top shelf musician. The cover concept is original and quirky too; what more can I say I have “No Reservations” in recommending this album.
